2. Kappo Tensen
A visit to Aomori is incomplete without trying one of the local delicacies: "Strawberry Stew" from Hachinohe City and Shitagami Town. This soup doesn't actually use strawberries; instead, it's made by simmering sea urchin and abalone. The broth is cloudy, and the sea urchin floating on top resembles wild strawberries in the morning dew, hence the name. Strawberry Stew is usually served during New Year's or celebrations. July is the peak season for sea urchin, and Shitagami Town even holds a "Strawberry Stew Festival."

To savor strawberry stew, head to "Kapō Manrin," a long-established Japanese restaurant within walking distance of Honhachino Station. This elegant establishment offers local dishes such as strawberry stew, shii flounder, and senbei soup. The high-priced sea urchin and abalone in the strawberry stew make it a luxurious experience, perfect for sharing with loved ones, and reservations are required in advance on their website.

3. Stir-fried Beef Short Ribs - Popular Canteen
Towada City is a popular tourist destination, boasting attractions such as the Oirase Stream and the Towada City Museum of Modern Art.
